Excess baggage

A simpler way to travel with extra baggage

If you need to fly with more baggage than that allowed on your booking, take extra bags with you starting at just $550 MXN (on routes within Mexico), $30 USD (on routes to/from Latin America or the United States), $50 USD (on flights to/from Cuba) or $36 CAD (on routes from/to Canada). Remember to check size and weight restrictions and special baggage restrictions.

Bags shouldn’t exceed 25 kg (55 lb) per piece, but if any of your bags weigh more than that, you’ll be charged $80 MXN (on routes within Mexico), $8 USD (on routes from/to Latin America or the United States) or $8 CAD (on routes from/to Canada). This applies up to a maximum of 5 kg (11 lb) in excess weight per bag, which means that each bag can weigh up to 30 kg (66 lb).

If you’re traveling with extra baggage, please arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight so we can check space availability in the cargo hold and check you in on time for departure.
