Wheelchairs and mobility aids

We support you during your trip

Nor wheelchairs or mobility aids are subject to our baggage policy, which means that if a passenger travels with us and requires one of these items for its mobility, they can be transported at no cost. However, due to space limitations, these items can only be transported as checked baggage.

The assembling and disassembling of mobility aids is provided by Interjet without charge.

Battery-powered wheelchairs are allowed, ., provided that spillable batteries shall be transported in accordance with 49 CFR 175.10(a)(16) and 14 CFR 382.127(c).

Wheelchair requests

Although you can take your own wheelchair during the flight, Interjet, upon request, can provide proper mobility assistance within the airport.

Interjet asks that passengers request this service through our section Special services or contact to the Customer Care Center at least 72 hours prior to your flight. Please note that the service does not include help within washroom areas.

The complete information about wheelchair usability can be provided at our Customer Care Center or directly at the airports. The wheelchair service starts an hour before your flight departure, from the check-in counter to the gate, including the security checkpoints. It won’t be possible to make stops in stores or banks. Please arrive at least an hour earlier than the suggested check-in time for national flights and 2 hours earlier for international flights to ensure the proper handling and packaging of your items.
