At counters

Together with the airport authorities, all passengers will be checked to make sure they don’t present any symptoms of COVID-19.

We have installed plastic shields at our counters to reduce contact between passengers and airline staff.

Counter areas and computer equipment are regularly disinfected.

When documenting, we recommend that you keep a safe distance of at least 1 meter.

We provide antibacterial gel in this area to keep your hands disinfected while checking in.

In your destination

When collecting your luggage, don't forget to do it in an orderly manner while keeping your distance from others.

If you’re travelling in a group, we recommend that only one person collect everyone's luggage.

The disinfecting and cleaning of our aircraft is carried out before and after each flight.

We use disposable materials and products as recommended by health authorities.

Cabin air purification systems provide a total change of the air in the cabin every 3 minutes.

What health and safety measures are Interjet taking against coronavirus contamination on flights?

At Interjet we go above and beyond when it comes to health and safety. doubled our health and safety efforts for all passengers, crew, and staff. Our sanitization protocols include disinfecting of air and all surfaces within aircraft between flights. We’ve also increased the frequency with which we check on-board air filtration systems.

These measures will continue for as long as necessary under the recommendation of health and safety organizations.

How is Interjet keeping passengers safe and healthy during flights?

All our aircraft are fitted with hospital-grade HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor) air filters. These remove dust, fungus, bacteria and virus particles with 99.9% efficiency.

What measures should I take before flying?

The World Health Organization recommends the following:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based solution frequently.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing and coughing. If you do not have a tissue, sneeze into the crook of your elbow.
  • Do not touch your mouth, eyes, or nose.
  • Consult a doctor if you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or breathing difficulties.

Why are crew members not wearing masks during flights?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), people who are not experiencing symptoms do not need to use a medical mask. The WHO also states that wearing a mask does not protect a healthy person from becoming infected and is only recommended for infected individuals under certain circumstances.

How do I know that staff and crew members in the airport are not infected?

Medical professionals working for us have implemented strict preventative measures with all our staff and crew members. Employees and crew in all our destinations and service points have access to our medical staff 24/7 in case they are experiencing symptoms or feel unwell. Staff and crew have access to medical revisions to make sure they are healthy at all times. We follow strict international health measures prohibiting crew from flying if they are experiencing any symptoms or are experiencing any respiratory illness.
